Renesmee (Nessie) Cullen is pretty much grown after five years. She is mature as any other fifteen year old girl is. She adores Jacob and is noticing that her feeling toward him have changed in the last month or so. She is also noticing that her father, Edward is more and more uncomfortable with the thought of her going out simply because she is a teenager where her mother, Bella, is more relaxed with the situation between Nessie and Jacob.
Things are going well for the Cullens until a vampire from Edward's past shows up. He had no idea that the person was even alive none the less close to them. He doesn't tell Bella anything about the person and she doesn't really want much to do with him at the moment either. For the time being they are just avoiding each other until they can get past the whole situation between the two of them and their bad history with each other.
Renesmee is attending the highschool which equals a whole new set of problems for the Cullens. Nessie is smart but she is very very withdrawn from speaking because she's never really had to speak at home because of her ability to project images into peoples heads. Jacob is going with her just to make sure that she'll be ok and not so alone at school. Nessie ends up spending time with Jacob mostly because she can't connect with other people around Forks because of her silence. Edward and Bella are concerned by this fact more than other Cullens.
